How late?

Wages must be paid by end of the month for the previous month. After 15 days late, you have formal rights.

Step 1: Written demand

Send a registered letter: exact amount, period, 8-day deadline for payment.

Step 2: Labour Inspectorate

File a complaint. Free, available online. The inspector visits and orders payment with a fine.

Step 3: Termination with severance

After 3 months of unpaid wages you can terminate with right to severance, unemployment benefit and lawsuit.

Step 4: Enforcement

With a concrete pay calculation you can go straight to the bailiff.
